compassionate men

go deep. be honest. reconnect.

Why This Matters

Most men have been taught to tough it out and brush it off, shut down and isolate, or lash out and overpower. These patterns become so normal we barely notice them until they show up in:

  • Your marriage or partnership

  • With your kids and family

  • At work and in neighborhood

  • How you think and talk about yourself

If you’re waiting for others to change, you’re missing the deeper opportunity: the change your looking for BEGINS WITH YOU.

“It was a rich experience to address relational topics I hadn’t yet addressed. I wanted to go deeper and Jeff helped me get kick-started!” - Randee

"Jeffrey's Healing from Dominant Power course allowed me to interrogate masculinity in ways that generated new insights into how I have been shaped, informed, and coerced through both my genetic and cultural inheritances.  The space to do this--made safe by Jeffrey's facilitation and the other men in the small group--gave me the freedom to continue my ongoing work of healing and growth.  I'm grateful!" - Matt

“The sessions were very helpful for me both in increasing my awareness of the effects of dominant power on my relationships, and getting some specific things I could do to begin to break free from perspectives, attitudes, and actions baked into my ideas of what it meant to be a man, a husband, and a father. Particularly helpful was understanding the difference between anger at harm and injustice, compared to rage. I also became more aware of how my tendency to go silent or withdraw was hurting those close to me and how I used it to maintain control. It was especially helpful to experience the time in a group with other people. It added insights and invited deeper exploration along with a shared sense of “I am not alone in this.” - Paul
